Every year, we look forward to recital! This annual event is very beneficial as students participate in the artistic process of a rehearsal, choreography, teamwork and performing in front of a live audience they are allowed the opportunity to be someone special, someone who has worked diligently to achieve their goals. Performing on stage builds confidence and character and gives one a sense of accomplishment and pride.
All students ages 3 & up are expected to participate. This end of year performance to showcases skills & improvement. It is a time to celebrate a year of hard work and build confidence. The recital is a cultural event, much like a professional ballet or opera. Those who participate will excel in other walks of life as the gain confidence through this experience. Students will begin working on their routines in the early spring.
Students ages 3 & up will have a Recital Fees due at the first of the calendar year. The first half is due in January and second half in February prior to the recital. This fee as of 2012 will include their costume, a DVD of the performance ($25.00 value) and other costs associated with recital like the rental of the facilities at Weber State and the light, sound and stage crew required. It also helps cover other costes like, parking, ushers, ticketing, box office staff, programs, event insurance, transportation of props and tumbling equiptment, packaging of costume and more. Recital Fees amounts will be distributed in December. Fees are approximately $45.00-$75.00 depending the on age, level and type of class. Costumes are yours to keep, not rentals! Recital 2012 – June 26, 2012
Our 2012 Recital will be held at at Weber State University in the Val A. Browning Center on Tuesday, June 26th at 7:00 pm. The dress rehearsal schedule will be released in the spring. The dress rehearsal will be in the morning and afternoon hours and the students need to return at 6:30 pm for the 7:00 performance. Some classes will be combined with another class for recital and their combined practice time will be through the month of June. We will distribute combined practice times in the spring for the classes that are combined with another class.
