Dance Companies
Dance Company is for those dancers who desire to broaden their dance education and who LOVE to perform. We recommend this class for dancers with at least 1 year of dance experience for younger ages and 2-3 years of dance experience for the older age groups. Here is a breakdown of our dance groups:
- Mini – for ages 4-7. This class meets twice a week for 45 minutes for dance technique, plus 1 level-appropriate tumbling class.
- Youth – for ages 6-8. This class meets twice a week for 1 hour for dance technique and is also required to take a level-appropriate tumbling class.
- Junior – for ages 8-10. This class meets twice a week for 1 hour 15 minutes for dance technique, plus 1 level-appropriate tumbling class.
- Senior – for ages 9+. This class meets twice a week for 1 hour 15 minutes for dance technique and is also required to take a level-appropriate tumbling class.
- Elite – for ages 10+. This class meets twice a week for 1 hour 30 minutes for dance technique and is also required to take a level-appropriate tumbling class.
Company members will receive well-rounded technique instruction in jazz, ballet and modern dance. Dancers are dedicated to improving themselves, their team, and preparing for future Jr. High and High School Teams and Companies. Attendance at Team placement day or placement by a staff member is required. Please contact us to set up an evaluation day for your student.
Company members will perform at a Trunk or Treat, a Christmas Festival, a Weber State Basketball game, Utah Dance Festival and the younger groups and cheer team will attend 1 or 2 competition in addition to our end-of-year recital. What to Wear: Company members are required to wear a form-fitting leotard, tank top or T-shirt with leggings, tights, shorts or jazz pants. Dance Company members should wear nude-colored lyrical shoes. Mini team should wear tan jazz shoes.
Cheer Teams
Our SKY Cheer teams are for cheerleaders who desire a greater commitment and who LOVE to perform.
- SKY Cheer Stars – (ages 5-10) team members meet for 2, 1-hour cheer classes and 1 level-appropriate tumbling class
- SKY Cheer Total Eclipse – (ages 7-12) team members meet for 2, 1-hour cheer classes and 1 level-appropriate tumbling class
- SKY Cheer Odyssey – (ages 8-18) team members meet for 2, 1-hour and 15 minute cheer classes and 1 level-appropriate tumbling class
